yeah, I've been productiveee kinda. Well okay I haven't been doing too well so I stayed home from school, and so this came from all my uh staying home...ness.
quick paint inspired by Makoto Shinkai's godly backgrounds
The character is a boy shepherd who's blind SO NO HE'S NOT WATCHING THE SUNRISE, but I guess he's kinda turned that way cuz it's warm... or maybe I was too lazy to draw his face. probably the latter, but whatever man.
Characters & Art : BOTH MINE FOR ONCE
original character comparison comments are not a form of flattery to me. don't. do. it.
It's also one of my more serious attempts with landscapes/backgrounds (I know this is simple, but baby steps) so if you are skilled with backgrounds and painting landscapes, please give me some advice.
I'm not skilled with bgs. So I think it looks fine, albeit simple. THE ROLLING HILLS look very cute. Personal preference, I think you could add in more color variations with the grass to show detail. I haven't seen a lot of hills lately, but some of that pretty light's bound to bounce off the grass one way or another, no? Or maybe it just gets darker, so you could add more contrast?
I hate drawing/coloring grass. It's so impossibly flat, but springy and just plain weedy. :C
yeah, I probably should. I forgot to add in some earthy tones for some reason oops I haven't seen hills like that since like wayy early last year, so I can't quite remember hahaaa. I think I'm afraid to anymore contrast cuz it could potentionally disturb the mood of the drawing, but I'll try?
bounce... rephrase that a bit? I added some of the sun's colors onto the hills, but you're probably talking about something else.
haha it's kinda fun like. I wasn't too sure about the grass in the foreground, but I ended up with it and I kinda like it, regardless of how thoughtlessly I was coloring it at first.
XD You can always save different versions as long as there's room.
haha bounce. Yeah. That's what I meant. /shot I've been in my chem class too long. This is a sunset? At first, I was thinking of sunrise and grass dew and light reflecting. XD;;
those sheep's look fluffy :'D I love the colors *A* and ...atleast you can draw a landscape that look like a landscape ; it looks really neat.. and those clouds are beautiful great work

"Make mistake in Photoshop, and all wil see that as mistake, but make mistake with watercolors, and all will think it does belong there."
Aww. I like how the sheep look, they go well with the clouds. I'm practicing on cloudy and sunset backgrounds now. I really wish I could get better. Nicely done.
